BEISIK

Beisik is a capsule collection inspired in punk characteristics and aesthetics.

Going from how punk adapted every day objects for aesthetic, i decided to think of fashions every day objects to elaborate the designs.

I also drew inspiration from Ellsworth Kelly, particularly his use of color blocking and primary colors. His reduction of form to simple, precise shapes informed the visual structure of the collection, allowing bold color contrasts to balance the rough and deconstructed elements of the garments. This approach was applied to the traditionally punk tartan motif, which I simplified and reorganized into cleaner geometric compositions

This jacket/vest became the first iteration of IDD: ‘’Long sleeve jacket’’ (10 different ways to use)  initiating my research into multipurpose patternmaking and garments designed for multiple functions and modes of wear.
